The last 40 years of Turkish bureaucracy will be scrutinized via the project of BARU
Thanks to the Bartın University (BARÜ) project supported by TÜBITAK, face-to-face interviews will be held with 1,338 bureaucrats who work at various levels in 12 cities, and evaluations will be made regarding the last 40 years of Turkish bureaucracy in this way.
The project led by by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Baykal, who works at Bartın University (BARU) at the Faculty of Economics in the Administrative Sciences Department of Political Science and Public Administration Faculty, was found worthy of support within the scope of TÜBITAK 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program. The perceptions and attitudes of the bureaucrats who have been actively working in different institutions and have different titles as to the policies implemented will be analyzed, with the studies to be performed within the scope of the project. In the study, aiming to guide policymakers, practitioners, and the scientific world with their academic outputs, face-to-face interviews will be conducted with 1,338 people from 12 different provinces.
Prof. Dr. Şükrü Karatepe, Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic and Deputy of the Local Policies Board, will be the advisor of the project by Prof. Dr. Baykal. Also in the project, Prof. Dr. Ömer Çaha from Istanbul Ticaret University, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Bingöl from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Prof. Dr. Özcan Sezer from Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Research Assistant from BARU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Erdi Topçuoğlu will also take part in the project.
