BARU lecturer, Hicran Karataş, wins the prestigious TUBA-TESEP award
BARU Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hicran Karataş was presented with the "TÜBA-TESEP (Scientific Copyright Work) Award" at the ceremony held at the Presidential Complex.
TÜBA and TÜBİTAK Science Awards Ceremony was held at Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center. At the ceremony, the lecturer Assoc. Dr. Hicran Karataş from BARU’s department of Sociology at the Faculty of Letters was presented with the "TÜBA-TESEP Scientific Copyright Award" by President Erdoğan. She received the TÜBA-TESEP Notable Copyright Work (Honorable Mention) Award for her work titled "A Little Criminal: Treasure Hunter's Folklore".
Expressing her happiness for the success she achieved, Karataş noted that the work that was deemed worthy of the award is a product of the studies carried out within the scope of TÜBİTAK-2219 International Research Fellowship Program.
Working formerly at BARU between 2016 and 2022, Assoc. Dr. Hatice Yıldız Durak also received the TÜBA-GEBİP Award in the field of social sciences.
