Academic Board Meeting Held at Our Faculty
The Academic Board Meeting of Bartın University Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design was held with the participation of all faculty members. The meeting was chaired by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Handan UCUN ÖZEL.
During the meeting, the new term’s goals and academic activities of the faculty were evaluated. Dean Prof. Dr. Handan UCUN ÖZEL emphasized that the faculty’s motto is “Doubling productivity in a peaceful environment.” She also underlined that the primary duties of academics are education and academic activities, highlighting the importance of publications, projects, patents, and international collaborations in this context.
The importance of mutual respect and understanding in communication with students was also emphasized. It was noted that just as students are expected to show responsibility and diligence, academics are also expected to reflect the same attitude, thereby contributing to a more productive and harmonious educational environment.
It was stated that the new academic term has started positively, with all departments of the faculty reaching 100% enrollment capacity this year. In addition, the opening of the Master’s Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering was announced and welcomed as a valuable development for the faculty. Furthermore, it was shared that new graduate programs are currently being planned and will be announced to the academic staff as the process is finalized.
