Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin KAYA, has been accepted as a post-doctoral researcher at Vanvitelli University in Italy within the scope of the 2219 TUBITAK Postdoctoral Research Scholarship.

Hüseyin KAYA, a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Design, has been accepted as a post-doctoral researcher at Vanvitelli University in Italy within the scope of the 2219 TUBITAK Postdoctoral Research Scholarship. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin KAYA's research area at Vanvitelli University will be the production and thermal analysis and characterization of hybrid structures of nano-fluids and nano-PCMs.

Dr. Kaya stated that the mixtures of nano-fluids with high heat transfer capacity and nano-PCMs with high thermal energy storage capacity can contribute to energy efficiency. This way, the energy efficiency of buildings, which are the most used areas for energy, can be increased. Moreover, with the advancing technology, more efficient working conditions for the thermal control of high-capacity lithium batteries in electric vehicles can be achieved with nano-PCM-nano-fluid mixtures.
